I was curious how much and embossed ex-libris stamp affects the value of a book. I came across a trade hardback copy of Cycle of the Werewolf, it is a good price, not fantastic but better than I have seen. The book itself is in good shape and the dust jacket seems to be in great shape, better than many I have seen for much higher prices, but it does a stamp on the fist page.
Thanks!
Jason

Nobody likes library stamps, but if the jacket is good, you have a winner. This one is notorious for sun fade and spots.

Agreed, maybe 5-10% less vs a copy that doesn't have one - depending on the buyer.
Edit, I'm reading this as a personal stamp, not an ex library copy.

Re: Ex-Libris and Value
Is this an ink stamp or one with no ink but raised edges (like a notary stamp)?

Thanks for the responses everyone.
It is a personal stamp, not library. it is embossed, no ink, like a notary stamp.
Its actually difficult to see on the decorated page but on the back side of the page it is much clearer.
