Hello,
I just bought a 1st edition, 1st printing of "IT". All the criteria for 1st print are met, except the dustjacket. There is no price on the front flap? I've purchased two 1st/1sts of this book before that both had the price info. Has anyone else had a similar "no price" dustjacket? What does this mean? Thanks.

Someone has just replaced a screwed up true 1st edition dust jacket with a book club edition.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that was probably the case, but other specifcs of the dust jacket match 1st print criteria, e.g. ISBN # and Barcode #s on back panel. I did just now notice that the #string on the bottom of front flap is missing on my present copy. So, it looks like I have a true 1st/1st with a not-so-true dustjacket. Oh well.

Agreed that's what's going on here. Some folks seem to think putting a "nicer" dust jacket on a book is the way to go, but don't seem to realize that most of the value of a book is in the DJ and by putting on a Book Club DJ it kills the value.
