Haven't picked up much lately, my first F&SF mag - only 6 or 7 left to go...
And this UK publication:


I have about half the UK firsts, never thought that much about them. This article (August 2008) is quite informative, discussing the UK proofs, book print runs, etc and even has a bibliography with the prices at that time.

I'd REALLY be interested in reading what they have to say about the UK King proofs. If you see another copy out there, please let me know.

I like that magazine and the BARE BONES proof. Now I want both of them!

It mostly has little comments in the bibliography, for example Pet Sematary "allegedly only 50 copies escaped destruction" or the purple wrapper FAB8 was recalled. All new to me.

I tried to order the issue but it wouldn't allow shipment to anywhere except the UK. I've emailed them to see if they will allow me to order one and ship it to me.

That's odd. Had no problem ordering it and I'm in Texas. Looked it up - I ordered it April 23. Came yesterday.

I had no problem ordering one either. I just chose Rest of World for shipping and then filled out my mailing address the best I could. Order went through fine.
