Premature. The Mod at SKMB today said:
"Unless/until there's an official release from Imagine Entertainment saying the project is dead or that alternate sources won't be approached for funding it, these reports are still in the rumor column. "

Yea, I read that they will still hold the rights to it. Hopefully it will be picked up by somebody else. Hopefully somebody will. For me, at least it gives me more time to finish the series .

Re: Too Bad(No Dark Tower Movie)
Found this on StephenKing.com tonight...
"Dark Tower Films See Rewrite and New Budget (UPDATED)
Posted: October 24th, 2011 12:46:12 pm EDT
IndieWire is reporting that Gabe Toro has spoken with Brian Grazer and learned the Dark Tower films are very much still in the works. Their brief conversation yields news about a script rewrite that offers a more "satisfying" ending as well as a revised budget with 40-50 million trimmed out. Clearly, both of these points should enable The Dark Tower property to be reconsidered for production by the major Hollywood studios.
This news is more than welcome here at StephenKing.com. It's been several months since any news had been learned about the fate of the series. It's a relief to know that the team with so much talent and ability might still have a chance to bring their respectable vision to the masses. We'll keep you posted."
Enjoy,
Andrea
