I just read about DT being made into movies/TV and here's an interview: http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/09/09/steph ... r-casting/.
I hate to admit it - after collecting DT since the first Grant - but I just finished reading DTI on vacation and am starting DTII. I'm not sure about this whole movie TV thing. For those who have read the whole series - think will it work?

Re: Dark Tower Movie
I have no idea if it will work, only time will tell. But I do think that the people who own (and can prove it) one of the 500 original signed and numbered copies of the Grant book should be paid to be extras in the film.
Of course this also applies to those who have lettered, PC copies, etc.
(And of course, I am just kidding! [Or am I?])

Yeah I don't know. Some SK projects turn out great (The Stand, etc) some come out pretty bad (The Mangler, etc)

Re: Dark Tower Movie
The problem with turning books as good as these into movies is that they're either really, really good or really, really bad. Who knows how this one'll turn out?

Re: Dark Tower Movie
Yeah, some books, not neccessarily King, have ended up being good movies - LOTR and HP I've liked; but some King stuff...
horrible adaptations. Since I collect the movie posters I guess that'll be three more to add.
Speaking of adaptations. It's been a while since I read Colorado Kid but from what I can remember Haven's not really even close. Not that it's a bad show, but other than newspaper guys not much rings a bell.

Re: Dark Tower Movie
I think it's a pretty solid start. The story is so massive however that we need an excellent supporting cast to go along with Roland. Also we need closer to this look

Re: Dark Tower Movie
My gut feel is that the movie is DOA at the present time.
