Storm of the Century
I purchased a hardcover first edition of Storm of the Century at a bookstore a few years ago. My wife lent it out (did not tell me) and now it's lost. I've looked on EBAY for a replacement but they all say that it was only originally available from BOMC. I know I purchased mine from a chain bookstore. Does anyone know about this book?

It was only published by BOMC. Same with "Secret Windows". I've never seen the hardcover being offered in any chain. As Eric said, it's only available from the BOMC. If you're a member, price is $8.99.

I did get it at Walden Books a few years ago. I don't know why they had it and if I ever ghet it back, I'll check to see if it a BOMC edition. Thanks for the feedback.

Per stephenking.com the first edition of this is a pocket books paperback that was sold in stores.
From that site: "First Pocket Books Trade Paperback Printing Feb 1999" on CP "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" on CP
Looks just like the picture on the right from ur2nd' (yes I am too lazy to type you're whole name, and I know the irony of typing all this out instead ) post.

Yes, I also have the first Pocket Books trade paperback true first edition. I doubt if it's rare or worth too much. I posted the pics of the Book Club edition just to show what it looked like. I thought SOTC was pretty awful on TV and the book wasn't much better (shrugs), but it's Stephen King so I bought it anyway!

I agree ur2nd, I haven't even tried to read this one, the movie was lacluster at best. I don't like trying to read screenplays, I just can't seem to get into them, so I haven't read this one.
