First time poster here. I am an owner of a small bookstore in Washington State and recently purchased an estate of limited edition Stephen Kings novels published through Cemetery Dance Press. I was able to find out information about almost all of it, but I came across an unbound copy of Dr. Sleep, labeled Third Proof. I know what proofs are, but this is my first instance in dealing with them because they are a bit of an oddity on the collectors market. I haven't been able to find anything comparable and wanted to ask opinions on value and suggestions for good marketplaces for it.
Thank you in advance. I have enjoyed this site and have used it exclusively to learn more about the Stephen King collecting universe.
I used to copy the CD "unbound office proofs" at my work's top-of-the-range printer. You could not tell the difference from the original. Never trusted prints since, as there could be thousands out there.
Cemetery Dance also has a forum and contact info on their website. You may want to contact them regarding how many of these were issued so you can get a better idea on circulation.
That being said I do not disagree with Mr. RT.
It may be difficult to validate as an "original" and value may be hard to place.
