Hi everyone! I read Doctor sleep when it came out in September last year but just wanted (a bit late) to share this with you. after reading all Kings books The Shining has always been one of my favorites and so when doctor sleep came out i was very excited. I have read The Shining numerous times and feel (i'm sure someone feels the same!) like i got to know the Torrance's (and "Dick") quite well, so when near the end of Doctor sleep when Danny "Dan" turns around and sees the ghost of Jack, did anyone else feel as though they had seen a old friend again. i hope someone can relate to this or do i just read way to much!
totally agree with that too John, i haven't read 11 22 63 since it came out, i'll have to re read it soon, i still think that the 7 "losers club" characters are some of the strongest King ever created.
Oh yeah, and the I think the Movie release of IT back in the 1990 was probably the best movie adaptation I've seen. You realy get to know the "loosers club" in a very personal way.... although I sort of toggle 1st & 2nd place with The Stand mini-series, depends on how I'm feeling that day.
Yeah "IT" mini-series is great, i thought they captured (some) of the eerie atmosphere of the book quite well, also it was quite well cast, no one was really "unbelievable" as the characters. and yeah the mini-series of The stand is a hit and miss, i watched it one night (from 9.00 until 3.00 in the morning!), and what struck me most (apart from some main plot) was the mis-casting of some characters especially Molly Ringwald as Fran!
And apologies for any spoilers.

Hundreds of King fans have not read this book yet.
Sadly I don't have a spoiler feature like dtd.org but I've modified the original post and put a spoiler tag at the top of the post, thanks for the suggestion.
