jimimck wrote:Also, I hope to have something special to post in the near future. I've contacted a local carpenter to see about a slipcase for my DT 1st collection. I've discussed something along the lines of what Dolso puts together (although I doubt I'll be getting anything as awesome as what he does), to see what could be done for all 7 books together. Will post some pics if anything eventuates...
Sounds interesting!

Have added quite a few things lately, but just going to post the "Little" ones.
First read about these Flip books at the Fforde site and had to have one - then saw they had a King one. Actually pretty well made and seem like they would stand up to reading on a trip.

And while shopping Amazon UK for the Flips picked this up.

I was thinking of ordering that MISERY flipbook.
Is the UMNEY'S LAST CASE in that Penguin box a first printing? That is a nice looking item.

Thanks. Yes, it's a first and in perfect shape. The box has a little corner wear, but for 4 pounds and shipping not a bad deal.

What appear to be the original printer's proofs for It:

And the same for Misery:

I originally thought these were just F&Gs, but after inspection, I realize these are pre-proof items.

My gut feel is that they may be one-of-a-kind. My copies have the original notations done at the printers by the workers there. I seriously doubt there are any others out there. (Of course, I could be wrong about that, but I don't think so.)
