Just wondering if anyone knows, if the 1982 correction was done before the First printing was finished. So making it possible to have a 1st-1st with 1983.
Thanks John...Maybe only Double Day knows for sure. My 1982 DJ has a price of $15.95. Have you (or anyone) seen a corrected 1983 DJ with a $15.95 price. Of the 250,000 copies printed maybe they printed the majority with 1982 making the 1983 rarer. OMG I need a life LOL.
I have a copy with 1983 and $15.95 price and I recently upgraded it with a better copy because the one I had wasn't in the best shape. The new one I got has 1982 on the back, and also $15.95 price.

Interesting a 1982 & 1983 both $15.95.
This is a cut and paste from here, do they both fit the first edition description?
A first edition of 250,000 copies. Issued with a dustjacket and price of $15.95. First Edition is printed on the copyright page and on page 374 you will find code Y38. Current Value = $15-$25

Ahhghhh! You're right.... I never thought to check my old original copy. It's not a first. No "First Edition" and the number on page 374 is Y43. Good thing I upgraded. I checked the new one I recently got, and it's good.
