I have some excess First Editions and such that I'd like to offer for a trade - trade only - for things I am missing. The excess books, listed below, all have DJs or covers in F to NF condition with the occasional bit of chipping, while some of the books may be only VG due to some light bumping or reading wear. I'm happy to email photos if interested. Also, I am willing to trade multiple books as a group to make the trade fair and as equal in value as possible.
Available:
The Talisman, First Edition, 1984, Viking - DJ in F-NF condition with light chipping; book is in VG with the spine gilt of the title faded a bit and the binding slightly loose.
Cycle of the Werewolf, 1983 Signet/NAL, 2nd Printing - NF condition with front cover about 1/16 inch short so appears misfit, a problem in production I've seen in many of this title.
Four Past Midnight, First Edition, 1990, Viking - DJ is in F-NF condition; book in VG condition with some bumps to the boards, read/shelf wear, and the gilt on the spine title fading.
The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, and The Waste Lands - set of 1st Plume printings (1988, 1989, 1992) - ranging in condition from VG-NF; some chipping on cover, age-toning, light reading crease of spine, etc.
Needful Things, 1991, First Edition, Viking - DJ in F-NF condition; book in VG condition with some bumps to the boards, read/shelf wear, and the gilt on the spine title fading.
Skeleton Crew, TRADE FACSIMILE BCE, 1985, Putnam - all in NF condition.
From a Buick 8, First Edition, 2002, Scribner - DJ in F-NF condition; book has bumping to spine bottom.
Doctor Sleep, First Edition, 2012, Scribner - all in F-NF condition.
What I'm looking for - again, willing to trade multiple books for just 1 one of the titles below. And I'm only looking for the Trade First Editions, nothing Limited or Special:
Different Seasons, First Edition
Firestarter, First Edition
It, First Edition
Thinner, First Edition
If anyone is interested and wants to talk further, we can exchange emails where I can share photos and such.
Thanks!

Thanks for the encouragement, but doesn't seem to be a ton of interest.

Maybe because collectors tend to want Fine/Fine condition books and jackets. I know I do.blackdogbooks wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2026 11:53 am Thanks for the encouragement, but doesn't seem to be a ton of interest.

Re: Proposing a Trade
I'm pretty tough with my condition assessments, I tend to over criticize the condition for concern that someone else thinks I'm being too lax. Most of the assessments I see for books are way more lax than I'm comfortable with - books rated at NF with serious chipping or tearing of DJs and serious bumping or soiling of the text. And even given that critical eye, the lowest assessment on anything I have is VG. Not to mention, I'm not actually asking high prices or high value for the trade. I'm simply proposing a trade with someone who might have a similar excess in titles but different ones than mine.
There is a paucity of available King books available on the market because calling oneself a collector too often means overvaluing. The prices/values I see for titles exponentially multiplies what this site cites as values/prices for almost all of King works. For example, here on the First Edition tab, a first edition of Cujo is valued/priced at $40-$70. A check of just one bookselling platform, Abes, shows the lowest price for a F/F copy of the book at $80, with prices up to $500. King 'collectors' have created a siloed market for King books that is not in line with other collecting markets.
