Salem's Lot Leather Bound by Betts

Post by smashman »

Hi Guys,

I have one of the Slipcased Brown Leatherbound Salem's Lots that was bound by McSpadden Bindery for Betts Books, using leftover blocks from the Centipede Press Edition. Does anyone know how many of these were done? Jerad at Centipede doesn't recall, and when I ask David at Betts, I don't get a response....maybe he also just doesn't know. Tried old number for McSpadden, it's no good, maybe they're gone.

I can't imagine it was very many.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Unsigned edition limited to 25 copies, that were ½ bound in leather (12 with red covers and 12 with black covers) by Betts Books, who originally had the unbound copies. Note that the 25th copy was a prototype produced by a different binder.

Oh yes....the "RED" was my favorite. I almost pulled the trigger at the time they were offered.

Congratulations on owning a copy.
