Hi folks, I've been lurking here a little while, and finally made some posts recently. I'm a government attorney living in Utah but working remotely for a California employer. My introduction to Stephen King was reading The Stand when I was about 18, the first book I'd ever read. A short while later I interviewed for a job at a book store, and still the only book I had read was The Stand. When asked about what authors I like, I talked extensively about The Stand hoping the interviewer wouldn't catch on that that's
all I had read and all I could talk about! I bluffed my way through the interview well enough that I got the job, and my love of books began!
I started collecting Stephen King in earnest late last year and fell deep down the rabbit hole! I have just a handful of first editions remaining to collect, and am trying not to go too deep down the special edition rabbit hole, which could easily bankrupt me.
My biggest regret - selling a signed limited edition copy of Black House that I won (I think around 2006) through a Haven Foundation lottery
Most prized SK possession - either the SL Black House that I reacquired a couple years ago, or second state first edition of Salem's Lot.
So that's a bit about me.
Thanks,
Rick
