Hardback Creepshow

Post by HeartsofMidway »

I have Creepshow book, but this is a hardback, first edition fourth printing and I'm curious. I'm curious about the value. Everything I've seen relates to paperback, but this is a hardback. It is not a book club edition.

It sounds like a "library bound" copy. Library binding gives longevity to the book as it gets checked out by several readers.

Can't really help on the value though. Not something highly sought after by most.

On a Creepshow fun note, a hardcover in French does exist. The cover has the creep sitting at a ticket window. Very much like the first release of the US DVD cover. Still has the Wrightson illustrations in it.

If I wasn't currently traveling, I would post a picture of my copy.

Interestingly I had someone email me about a hardback creepshow earlier this week. For values I found a comparable eBay listing that sold for $30

Yep, that is the "Library Binding" I mentioned.

I got lucky a long time ago and picked one up with the full first edition number line. No Library markings on it. A neat little copy. I also have a Cycle of the Werewolf Library hardbound I picked up at the same time.

No real value to these, but cool oddities on the shelf.

When I return home I will get a picture of the hardcover French release of Creepshow.
