Congratulations Racerx45!
I love the way The Green Mile was done. The matching slipcase is awesome, it's a tight little package.

Which way does it sit in your bookcase.....Book spine out or the other way around? For this one I like the back of the slipcase facing out, which is better for the books but sometimes the slipcase isn't marked or I just want to see the book.

I do both of mine (the gift and the s/l) the same way--with the slipcase spine out.

those are nice, The Stand portfolio is one of th few I haven't ever seen in person.

I also put my cases so I'm seeing the spine of the slipcase. The cases sold on the site are also designed with that in mind.

Look how super the Green Miles look here....Beauties. See the 11/22/63 (I loved, loved, loved this read) next to them. This UK 11/22/63 came with a slipcase that has no type on the spine of the slipcase. I think they are missing the point. I want to protect the spine from sun fading but don't want to see a slipcase with no ID on it.

Yeah, I agree, but I can also tell you it's just cheaper for the publishing house / manufacturer to not add a 2nd stamp on the case & not pay for a 2nd stamping die. When a book is relatively cheap (say under $100) you're probably looking to shave costs where you can.

The Fab 5

Last week I purchased a Salem's Lot and that completed the first five DoubleDay books for me. Of course always looking for one in better shape. I am tickled pink!

In the bookcase with their buddies....I am on the hunt for slip/traycases.

Very cool, one day I hope to be able to say the same. I just need Night Shift and The Shinning.

They look a little odd with two traycases and three not. I am either getting three traycases made or maybe....getting a slipcase made for all five.

' The DoubleDay Group of Five'

Maybe in wood or acrylic?
