PS Publishing Firestarting may be annouced shortly

Post by TheCollector »

Hey Folks, on of the FB groups mentions that Firestarter will be available to pre-order in the upcoming PS Publishing newsletter. Let's keep our fingers crossed it's accurate, I'm going to mention it in todays newsletter and link to the thread here for any updates. Of course I'll be keeping an eye on my inbox for the PS Publishing newsletter to arrive this weekend.

I haven't seen this confirmed by anyone other than the OP of the thread post, but artwork is included....If you see this post Alan, I know you get notifications ahead of time for the Lettered editions, did you get a chance to pre-order your copies this week?

Thanks for the confirmation!

Price should be £149 + Shipping when it launches to us plebs.

What's everyone's thought on Dave McKean as the artist? Honestly not a style I gravitate towards but I do think the bottom 2 photos are pretty good all things considered.

Okay straight from the newsletter:

Assuming Chat GPT is correct, converted launch times next week are
8am PST/11amEST
noon PST/3pm EST
4pm PST/7pm EST

We are pleased to announce that we are ready to launch our next Stephen King project, FIRESTARTER.
"Andy could feel something building in the air, building up around Charlie like an electric charge. The hair on his arms suddenly began to stir and move, like kelp in an invisible tide. He looked down at her and saw her face, so small, now so strange.

"It's coming, he thought helplessly. It's coming, oh my God, it really is."
This 580-page book has been beautifully illustrated by Dave McKean and will be presented in an illustrated slipcase, following the same format as our other Stephen King titles. Production of this edition is currently in the proofing stage and we will make regular progress updates through our weekly newsletter.
The cost will be £149 plus £9.99 tracked postage for UK customers. Postage to anywhere else in the world will cost £29 for a fully tracked service.
The order page will go live
at 4pm (UK time) on Friday, 9th May
As with previous launches, we will split the allocation into three and make further batches available at 8pm and Midnight.
Due to the sheer volume of traffic to the website and email requests that these launches generate, we've created a special email address which, hopefully, will catch all your messages.

Ah thank you so much I wasn't able to find the page on the site! I expect it'll auto turn over to "in stock" in about 11 minutes.

EDIT - it was live just a few minutes early and I got the book in my cart. Each page took minutes to load but i WAS able to get my order thru. (I used PayPal to process the payment as I was worried using thier shopping cart would just timeout).

It's now showing sold out again, so people will have to wait for the other release times they've scheduled.

This is probably a stupid question, but this book has already been printed, right?

The wait should only be for packaging and shipping?
