YOU LIKE IT DARKER (BINC Edition)

Post by Noxus35 »

I wasn't expecting this one but obviously i'll enter the lottery.

So once again, Constant Readers for a Cause is hosting a fundraiser for BINC 😊 details forthcoming soon.

A little bit about BINC:

Binc is a non-profit that coordinates charitable programs to strengthen the bookselling community. Our core program provides assistance to employees and shop owners who have demonstrated financial need arising from severe hardship and/or emergency circumstances. Since its inception, the organization has provided over $11 million in financial assistance and scholarships to more than 10,000+ families. Support for the Foundation’s programs and services comes from all sectors of the book and comic industries

For those who are unfamiliar with CR for a Cause - a little background:

Constant Readers for a Cause is collecting gently used Stephen King books to be donated to local hospitals, schools and charities in need. If you want to include a note of encouragement in each book that would be awesome. Bonnie I'Anson came up with that idea and we thought it was a great idea.

Ah very cool. Yeah BINC is legit, and they do good work.

If you have any details you can pass on before the end of the month, please post them here and I'll mention it in the July newsletter and reference this thread to get some more eyeballs on it. Just as a reminder I'm out of the country starting June 23rd and I'm going to be online only sporadically so ideally at least a couple days before the 1st would be ideal.

I received HOLLY last time, i was extremely lucky back then. 😄

Today should be the day on the details for the lottery. If it's less than $2500 I will drop my hat into the lottery ring.

Going by the last lotteries the price will be around $150-$175, CONUS shipping included.

I won HOLLY last time and it cost me a bit more because of INTL shipping, around $100 but still a great price for a book signed by King.

Exciting today!
