Hey all. Longtime lurker, first-time poster. Curious about something with BCE…
I have a full-size It in a dust jacket with no price, of course indicating book club. But “First published in 1986 by Viking Penguin Inc.” is on the copyright page.
Were King Book Club editions published with the same 1st ed. identifiers as non-BC 1sts? Are there any other ways to distinguish a real-1st-with-BC-DJ from all-BC?

Some were, but mostly they are 1st editions with BC covers.

RT is correct. I have a Green Mile Hardcover first edition with BC dust jacket.

Yeah often (but not always) the dustjacket IS the defining feature. Yet another reason the DJ is such a large component of the value of a book.
