Fleeing Across the Desert

Post by dkbritt85 »

Hello, friends! Dustin from Durham, North Carolina, USA here. I've been gathering SK hardback first editions and oddities since I was in middle school (with much support from my antique-store-obsessed mother). I've got almost all of the core canon in hardback first edition and I've been carting this enormous shelf around with me for about 20 years! My partner has been nagging me to do a new inventory and get an actual $$$ estimation on all these things, so I'm happy to join the board after years of using this incredible site! I'm a social media specialist, theatremaker, arts journalist, and former English/Writing/Theatre teacher. I have a nonbinary spouse and a cat named Lt. Ellen Ripley.

Welcome Dustin

Sounds like you have a great collection. Look forward to hearing more about it.

Antique malls and booths hide some great gems. I'm not going to lie, you will find me lurking in and out of antique shops and malls frequently. :D

You have some AWESOME coffee shops in Durham. My next time through I will let you know, maybe we can meet, get a cup, and share some collecting stories.
