Firestarter 1st/1st DJ Text Color

Post by mcbanick »

I recently acquired two first edition copies of Firestarter. Each has all the first edition, first printing points that I’m aware of... but the text color of the title on the spine of the dust jacket is orange on one copy, and a grayish color on the other.

Can anyone confirm the correct coloring of the title text on the spine of a Firestarter 1st/1st dust jacket for me?

The copy with the gray colored text is in poorer condition, and I believe has been sunfaded - accounting for the gray text coloring...

Yes, sun faded. You answered your own question.

I've seen a couple sunfaded copies in my collecting days with the same grayish you described.

Yep, it should be the same orange as the front title.
