La Ligne Verte (The Green Mile) The Two Dead Girls. French Limited Edition Hardcover (Printed in hard boards NO DJ) 1/??? copies issued on Feb 28 1996 almost one month before the U.S. books that were issued March 27th. This book also has a facsimile King note & signature.
The French 1st edition soft cover was issued March 14th. (almost 2 weeks before the U.S. edition.

That is more of a proof (as you have stated yourself) & was not available to the general pubic. Proofs have never been considered 1st editions.

I assume it's the number of the book.As you can see I listed it as 1/??? (An unkown number) I believe the person I got it from said that there were only 500 copies...But was unsure why this one could be numbered 610. It would take someone in France to do a little more research.
