Pet Sematary gutter code question
I have "Pet Sematary" with a gutter code of MP2X on the Epilogue page which is not numbered but would be numbered page 374. Do you know what the code means? There is no dust jacket. The first pages are arranged differently. The Author's Note is on its own page.

Re: Pet Sematary gutter code question
I can't say for sure but often when I see four character gutter codes they happen to be in later printing book club editions.
Does the copyright page say book club edition? If it does it is one for sure...still could be even if it doesn't explicitly say so, they don't always.
In either case, without a dustjacket it wouldn't be very collectible I'm afraid, but I'll be great as a reading copy.

Tomas also has a Wiki page link about Doubleday gutter codes on the FAQ page https://www.stephenkingcollector.com/fa ... as%20done.
However, when I clicked on the Wiki page link, it says I have to login.

Ugh they must have changed to require a login now. Here's a Internet Archive from when a login wasn't required.

I'll update the FAQ page to point here instead.
