Hey all-
I'm looking for alternatives to selling on ebay and am wondering if any of you know of book dealers in NYC that buy limited edition books (SK, Joe Hill and a ltd edition of Alice in Wonderland Jabberwock edition). I live in CT & would love to connect with a NYC bookstore/dealer.
Thanks!
Jodi

Hi Jodi,
Living on the opposite side of the USA I don't have much first hand advice to give you, but I'm aware of
https://www.strandbooks.com/ which has a rare book section, and buys books.

Hey!
LOVE Strand Books - funny you should mention them. I did reach out to them specifically about the Alice in Wonderland book. The guy who answered me was rather rude & told me they could offer me $25. I then emailed back & explained about the book once again (perhaps I hadn't really explained it correctly the first time around?). He told me he knew exactly the book I was speaking of, but because Alice in Wonderland wasn't "out of print, " this was all they would offer.
Ummm....yeah. And I HAVE been to the antiquarian floor at their flagship store where they sell these types of books at "the going rate".
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

David at Betts is GREAT - He'd take the SK and Joe HIll but I'm not sure he would take too much outside of that. It'll be a weird day when I see Alice in Wonderland up on Betts.
If you're going outside of NYC, then
https://VeryFineBooks.com is in Newburyport, MA and does take a broad selection of authors.

Hi,
You can always post the books you’re offering in this forum or any of the dedicated Facebook collectors groups. I for one, would be interested in knowing what Joe Hill titles you have as there are always gaps to be filled in the collection
Cheers,
Marco

Marco, how rare is a signed hardcover copy of Hill's "The Fireman", but with the tipped-in page upside-down?
