Short forum outage today

Hey folks, the forum had an outage today for a few hours.
My hosting provider locked the database late last night due to "workload or number of connections being to high". This makes little sense to me as we have a a few hundred hits per day to the forum and little in the way of huge uploads or rich media. I'm hopeful it was a blip. That being said, as I don't understand the root cause it's possible this could happen again. If so:
I'll post any information regarding an outage on the main page of the site (https://skcollector.com) so check there for status updates while the forum is down
Should there be a trend where this is happening more than once in a blue moon, there are some things to try, all unsexy back end things (updated phpbb, updated SQL, dedicated database storage tiers, etc) that taking varying degrees of time and money. Rest assured I'll start going down that path as needed. For now though, we're back up and running, enjoy the forums!
