ebay Price history is non functional right now

Hey forum folks, so I was going in to do my eBay history updates the other day and ran into a problem where results were not being returned. It turns out the company that partnered with eBay to provide API keys has discontinued the program.

For those not familiar with what I'm talking about, these are the graphs on most "buy" pages that shows on a monthly basis what average price each book on ebay sold for. I have a back end program that I manualy update preset queires against and a second program that converts it into chart form.

After doing a little digging it seems like eBay has moved the service in house and is making their own API keys, this is better than nothing but presents two problems:

1) The mechanism that I use to capture these API calls was outsourced thru a 3rd party. I don't' have the technical knowlege to modify this system myself. I can look at outsourcing it but depending on what needs to be done to convert the system it may be quite expensive

2) Currently I'm not 100% sure that these calls will function in the same way.

I'll be doing a bit of digging into it, but if anyone is familar with the eBay developers program API's and PHP/codeignitor please PM me, I sure would love your help.

I'll post a brief version of this into the newsletter next month so folks know about it. For now consider this a combination FYI post and call for help!

That's an old update from 2015 - while I didn't talk further about it here (just in a newsletters) I permanently removed those graphs a few years ago. It was getting quite expensive to maintain and when I asked who was using it in the newsletters I got very few replies back.
