I came across this article talking about the end off mass market paperbacks. How ReaderLink — the country’s largest distributor of books to airport bookshops, pharmacies and big-box stores like Target and Walmart — announced that it would stop carrying mass markets altogether

The article refrences SK paperbacks over the years, and if you watch the accompanying video King is the guest they're talking to about it

I was able to view it without paying, just FYI.

I've found that people are interested in the older Stephen King Signet 1st printing paperbacks (think Skeleton Crew or Christine) if they're in good enough condition.

I have found very few people who read actual books anymore. I see more Kindles at the pool than physical books. I ran into a fellow at the fitness center who reads quite a bit (more than me, which was a surprise). I found out he reads because he left his Kindle on the treadmill. It turns out he gave up on actual books for the convenience of electrons.

I'm reading a lot more kindle, and a big reason for me is that I can adjust the font size up as needed. The mass market paperbacks seem to be getting harder to read, even with glasses
