In the first edition area on here, "The Gunslinger" listing says the following:
Trade hardcover edition of 10,000 copies with dustjacket, of which approximately 1,500 copies were misbound. The cover boards are maroon in color, and the book has colored endpapers; the dustjacket has two prices printed. $1,400-$2,000
Can anyone show or tell me what this "two price" dust jacket looks like?
Thankee, sai.

Ralph (or anyone else),
Can you also give any insight into this part of the description?
of which approximately 1,500 copies were misbound.
How do you tell if a particular copy is misbound?
I'm asking because I picked one of these up recently for my personal collection and would think the misbound copies would be slightly more valuable.

I believe the misbound happens in the following order: Pages 1-64 are correct, then it jumps to pages 185-200, then back to page 81. After that I believe the pages are correct.
Some collectors hunt down anomalies like a misprint or misbound. I'm sure if someone wanted it bad enough they might pay a little more for it. Most collectors though would probably want a correct copy in their Dark Tower collection.

I'm not so sure about the value portion of it. I haven't seen misboud copies of King books in general hold an additional value, if anything it's usually less especially if it affects the readability. Then again, I don't think many folks are actually reading their DMG Gunslingers these days....

I was asking more out of curiosity than anything else.
I'm keeping it for myself ... especially because it came with a custom Stephen King Collector slipcase!
