Hello! I have two questions regarding the first edition of 'Salem's Lot.

First, what does the price of $15.95 on the dust jacket mean?
Second, what does the code "Z22" on page 439 tell you about the book?

Not being a smartass here but it tell us collector that it's not a first edition/ first printing - after that there usually is no real market value to the book.

So Z22 tells me the book was printed in the 22nd week of 1984. This lines up with the price on your dustjacket being more than a first printing.
