Identifying my edition of IT

So I picked up a copy of IT today, and I'm not sure if its a first ed or a book club edition.

The big red flag: an unclipped dust jacket with no price

However, the copyright page states "First Published in 1986 by Viking Penguin Inc. Published simultaneously in Canada."

The book has grey endpapers, and there is no date under "Set in Garamond No. 3"

Was Viking making export DJ's with no price for any length of time? Has the DJ been replaced?Or is that just how the copyright page appeared on the BCE? I should mention that I live in Canada, which is where this was purchased. I haven't been able to find anything about this so far, so any help is appreciated.

If there is no price on the dust jacket it is a book club, pretty much guaranteed. Also, for IT, I know the book club edition will also have a small square indented into the boards on the exterior rear board if I remember correctly. I have an IT BCE but would have to dig it out to get a picture of what I mean.

It wasn't as buried as I thought.

Here you can see the square on the bottom right corner of the back of the book

The copyright page matches what you described

It makes an excellent reading copy so you don't have to worry about damage to a 1st/1st

I'll check when I get home tonight, thanks for the info!

Update: my copy does not have a square anywhere on the boards.

Regardless, with no price on the DJ it has to be treated as a Book Club edition.
