The Shining (Sealed) & Excellent Firestarter Editions

I'm new to the Forum, but the interaction and helpfulness I've been reading here all seems great. Looking forward to checking it out further. Hoping someone can help me with these edition questions. I recently found, for me, the most perfect copy of The Shining I'd ever seen - still sealed in the plastic with one tiny 3/8" hole in the plastic wrap. The DJ looks amazing. In the same store I found a near similar version of Firestarter. There's no plastic, and 2 small 3/8" thin stray pen(?) lines on the inside of the back flap of the DJ, but otherwise it looks impeccable.

Here's my confusion -
From their condition, I'm making a slight assumption the books come from the same lot. I guessed they're probably BCE so I checked for all the specs on Firestarter. There is no price, however there is also no BCE or Book Club Edition on the inside DJ flap. The copyright page contains "First published in 1980 by Viking Press" and includes the 40 West 23rd Street, NY, NY 10010 address. I also didn't find a gutter code. I can't check The Shining since I don't want to open the plastic. My guess whatever Firestarter is, then The Shining is probably the same.

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on what exactly I have in terms of editions and/or value. I don't feel secure in saying they're true 1st/1st, and figured this was a great place to start to try and find out and maybe be pleasantly surprised.
Thanks - Ben

The Shining book club edition is easy to spot. The spine has a green colour on it.

Well that makes it easy. The spine is green. Thanks for the info.

I feel like I see those copies of The Shining with the green spine in shrink wrap show up somewhat regularly.
