Night shift first edition without dust jacket maybe

If my first edition night shift (yes it actually is first edition cause it says it’s first edition) doesn’t have the right dust jacket for it how much would it be worth? I think it’ll still be worth like $300-$400 without it but idk something around that range. But yet again the seller could be mistaken and not know what I meant about a price and it could have the $8.95 price.

I think most collectors agree that on the early books the jacket is 90 per cent of the books worth.

Yeah up to 90% historically. although it can be somewhat less than that depending on the condition of the book block and what DJ you actually have there.

It’s the original dust jacket with the price clipped. Someone sold it for $650.

It is unfortunate that the price is clipped but it doesn’t matter to me that much since I only got it for $15.

But the rest of the book is in excellent condition :). Even the dust jacket is in very good condition, I don’t think it’s been read cause it’s kinda hard to fully open the pages cause the spine is nice and tight and there are no stains on the pages.
