Dolores Claiborne Trade Edition, Size Question

Hi Everyone:
I was reorganizing my shelves last week after moving books from one room to another and came across something I never noticed before.
I have all of my signed limited editions right next to the standard trade editions of the books just to keep the titles all together. But when I put my trade copy of Dolores Claiborne next to my trade copy of Gerald’s Game, I noticed that DC was slightly “less wide”…for lack of a better term.
All my standard 1st/1st (except the early Doubleday) are 9.5” x 6.5” wide…just like Gerald’s Game. But my copy of DC is 9.5” x 6.0”. I remember buying this book on the day it came out at Borders books way back when. I have been scratching my head as to why in the size difference and consulted The SK Collector's online 1st/1st guide which states the same sizes as Gerald's Game.
So, figuring maybe I have a “freak accident” of some sort, I went onto ebay and asked several sellers that had handsome copies of DC if they could send me photos of the measurements of the width. They ALL had correct prices on the DJ and correct number lines. And…they ALL were 6.0” wide!
So my question is…is this an anomaly? Is this some sort of BCE that was sold at Borders by accident? Not sure if you know much about this, but figured I would ask! Interested to know if you know anything about this one.
