Does anyone have an opinion regarding the Dark Region Press rebinding of paperbacks as a limited edition? Just curious - not necessarily my cup of tea, but would like to know if this seems worthwhile...

Saw that this morning as well. I'm not a fan of DRP to begin with and this doesn't help :)
Feels like a money grab, nothing more. Just my opinion though.

For me, regardless of the quality of the company and their product - we actually already have the answer if we look back on history. That history is decades of rebound ex-library books.

1) Ex-library books are supposed to be noted as ex-library when selling a copy, and if they've been rebound that's supposed to be noted as well but no one ever considered them to be a different edition.

2) If that were the case, we'd be calling ex-library copies that have gone in for rebinding with those hard turtleback boards a new edition. They are, after all taking the existing book block and putting them into a different outer binding. Same as all these projects, just not as fancy.

Yes, likewise, stay away from these low quality products & DRP.
