Fading or Printing?

Good Morning all,
I have noticed on a couple specific books I frequently see what appears to be fading to the orange coloring of the spine. I have hesitated to ask but figure it cant hurt. The odd thing to me is that it only seems to have affected the orange. I've posted pictures below. Thanks. ImageImage

Ir's not unusual for the red printing to show sun fading on many volumes. It does diminish the value,

Any colour in the red spectrum tends to fade first. All the big collectors I know, store their books in rooms with no windows. UV light is a killer for books and artwork.

Agreed - it's one of the main reasons I put the titles on all the slipcases (and traycases) I make, so a person can store them and see the title while hiding the spine from sunlight.
