Hello folks,
OK, the reason that people were not able to stay logged in even though you checked the "Log me in automatically each visit" box is because the forums were contained in an iframe tag.
Apparently browsers reading an iframe imbedded into a html page treat any cookies given out as 3rd party and are not letting them thru.
So I've changed ONLY the forums page to a regular frame page. Thus keeping the navigation bar on the side and the forum in the main window. You'll notice a couple small changes to the website when on the forums page
1) The nav menu shifts a few inches to the right... this is because I can't code a frame page quite the same as the rest of the site. It should be a very minor shift
2) The forum is wider and scrolls automatically when needed. This should be a bounus for everyone
3) You should stay logged in for a few days at least, even if you close the browser and open it up later. And I think even thru a reboot of your machine.
If you guys have any problems with the new design please let me know.

It doesn't seem to work for me. I still have to log in each time. Maybe it's my browser?

I'm using the Yahoo browser. It doesn't work. I switched over to my AOL account and browser and it works. So it's something with Yahoo.

I'm actually not sure which browser my Yahoo service uses. I'm really a novice at this stuff. I just assumed that Yahoo had its own browser.

Re: You should now stay logged in
I know this is an old topic, but I wasn't logged in for about 2 weeks and I didn't even know it! I wondered why there were never any new posts! I don't know if it's my PC or something else, but I'm glad I'm finally back.

Every so often your computer can stop remembering you're logged in. It can happen if you clear out your browser cache, do a browser upgrade, do a tuneup of sorts on your PC to make it run faster, etc.ur2ndbiggestfan wrote:I know this is an old topic, but I wasn't logged in for about 2 weeks and I didn't even know it! You'll see your name in the top left corner...or you'll see an option to login.
Anyway glad you're back!
