New short story anthology signed by Stephen King!

Post by TheCollector »

Thank you John for the info!.... newsletter going out shortly, but the forums is the fastest way for me to get the info online.

------------------------------

Wanted to be sure you heard there's a new limited edition forthcoming with a Stephen KIng/Joe Hill collaboration titled "Throttle", which is their take on Richard Matheson's "Duel". It will be appearing in a book titled He Is Legend to be published in February 2009 by Gauntlet Press, with authors writing stories in Richard Matheson's universe.

The numbered edition (signed by King, Hill, and other contributors but not Matheson) is $150, and can be ordered now with credit cards being charged on January 1, 2009.

Not that unique. The signed limited editions of Postscripts 10 had both King and Hill sign them. They all ARE nice to have, though!

OKKKKKKKK.......Im under the impression tht this is the first story that they wrote together(maybe not the first book that both have signed)...that defines "unique" to me.

As far as I know, it IS their first story together. It's special to me for that reason too!

Thanks, always glad to help.

Barry Hoffman of Gauntlet Press has announced that He Is Legend is now sold out, both the signed/numbered and the lettered editions. He is establishing a waiting list, though. The cut-off date for the s/n edition was 11:59 2 April. His website should be updated within 24 hours to reflect this.

A Life in the Cinema is written by Mick Garris, who directed (I think) a couple of King's films. Garris wrote eight stories and a screenplay for the book. King wrote the introduction.

It was published by Gauntlet Press back in 2000 or 2001, but just went out of print a couple weeks ago. There were 52 lettered and 450 numbered editions. King signed all, along with the cover and interior artist (you may have heard of him--Clive Barker!), Mick Garris and Tobe Harper. Issue price of the s/n edition was $125. I managed to get #5 just before it went out of print.

Gauntlet Press is the same one that is putting out the Richard Matheson appreciation He Is Legend, which contains King's and his son's co-authored novella, Throttle.
