Lisey's story question

Post by 19grams_of_king »

Hi

Does anyone have any info on a paperback version of liseys story published in 2006 in a slip case? Apparently this is 1/100 but only written in pen and I can't seem to find any other info on it. Is this a genuine item? Any idea of value etc?

First I've heard of it. There is a book club edition floating around that I think had a slipcase but nothing written in Pen and limited to 100 copies - If anyone finds different please include a link! :)

OK, so after some extensive research I managed to find out that H&S sent out only 100 of these items to readers in the UK as proof arcs. The price shot up to £33 on Ebay in the final few seconds of the auction.

Further:

Had email back from H&S... oops

Dear Andy,

Thank you for your enquiry. We did publish some proofs of LISEY'S STORY but each was numbered and allocated for a specific recipient in the trade or media as a gift. They were not then and should not now be on sale so I'm afraid we cannot provide a service verifying whether or not this is one of the proofs we produced.

It is a wonderful book however and we hope you enjoy reading it in any format.

With best wishes,

Cicely Aspinall

There were actually three versions of the UK proof of Lisey's Story issued:

Numbered to 100 with a slipcase
Numbered 101-? no slipcase
Unnumbered
