Question about The Cell

Post by ChrisLeigh »

My girlfriend just picked up a second copy of The Cell. Both meet the 1st edition criteria listed on this site. But the odd thing is...the book covers are different. One is red with a black spine, and the other is black with a red spine. Is this normal? Do we have an error?

The normal one has black boards with a red spine. Does the other one have a price on the dust jacket?

If you look at the dust jacket flap, you'll probably find the one with the red boards and black spine does not have a price, denoting a book club edition.

Just to show the copyright page...

So no idea what I've got here? No one else has noticed the color variation?

I'd guess a variant as well, could you post a larger picture of the copyright pages side-by-side they're probably identical but it's a little too small to read.

I checked my copies and I have three have a black spine and one has a red. Except for this they are exactly the same. I always thought it was another thing like the DJs for Tommyknockers and Insomnia.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and Heather over the weekend. Good people!
Here are my CELLS.
