Recommendations for custom slipcases or book boxes...

Post by servo666 »

I'd like to have some custom book boxes made for some of my King first editions. I'd prefer someone local (Denver, CO) but would be willing to have the work done elsewhere in the US if highly recommended.

Does anyone have recommendations for people or businesses who do this type of work?

I'm not looking for anything exotic, just something that looks nice and will protect the book.

I forgot to note that this site doesn't sell slipcases for the titles I'm interested in having the custom work done for.

Hi Servo666

The best advice I can give you is to call around to look up "bindery" in the phone book and call to talk to them about the project. I want to warn you ahead of time that doing one-off custom cases can be very expensive, especially if you want anything more then just a blank cardboard box.

Depending on the level of detail I would expect a cost of $150 - $400. Slightly cheaper for just a blank box.
