So i just won these on ebay - they are stephen king bookends. Now you may not think that is interesting but here's the kicker - these bookends are the EXACT ones you can click on in Mr. King's virtual office tour here are some pictures.

Ah you were the winner for those, I thought they looked pretty neat but I was wondering how much space they took up on the bookshelf. Do you have any pics with them on your shelf?

What are they made of, and what size are they? Do they look molded by a machine or handmade?

Just going off the description I probably would have been more comfortable in the 50-60 range personally but with a one off it's hard to establish a good value. It's worth what people would pay for it.

They are ceramic and are definitely hand made (my guess is that the first was used as a mold for the second). I do not have them yet but I will be picking them up Sunday from the guy since he lives near me, I asked him a whole bunch of questions before i bid. Not sure on the size but it is interesting that he bought them about 6 years ago from a collector in Maine off eBay - so my guess is that they may be a very unique item.

Now those are an awesome find!! I actually think collecting non-book collectibles is more complex and exciting, because the values of the items are often unknown. What can you compare it to is this is the only set sold?? It brings it all back to what value you personally place on the item.

I bet they look incredible supporting King's books! Congrats!!
