RAGE BOOK

Post by bookking »

Stephen king - RAGE

Looks like a few REALLY RARE "UK" Rage edition books up for sale right now on ebay, and the $150 looks to be in better shape than the $185 one. UNBELIEVABLE PRICES!

Condition is everything. The price of a 'normal' copy would be $100. The price of a Fine copy would be in the region of $500-$1000. That is because you will never find a Fine copy of the US/UK anywhere.

I have an UNREAD/UNCRACKED Copy, but still do not class it as "Fine".

Are you guys talking about the NEL February 1983 RAGE? The yellow one? Was it a very small printing? And if the book is flawless why wouldn't it be considered FINE?

IMO, if the spine is NOT cracked, it is considered as close to "FINE" as you will get. Also make sure no stamping, library markings, no wiring, no owners previous name, and not clipped on back of paperback of pricing. I believe it was a shorter print than the US version making this more rare - should value between 250-450. and starting bid of $150 that is Insane- wish i didn't already have one that i paid $300 for...

Noone in the world has a Fine copy of the UK paperback of Rage, quite simply because the paper it was printed on goes brown with age.

Fine condition means ZERO flaws. Page browning is a flaw.

I never thought about page browning, but of course you are right.

Hmmm, the pages on my flawless copy look pretty white though, maybe I should post another picture of it. I think I paid about $5 for it, one of the few good deals I did fall into in the past.

Q: Why is Kong so angry?

A: Because he can't afford a copy of RAGE.
