I have the 5 original Fantasy and Science Fiction magazines from 1978-1981 in which King first published the Gunslinger. I'm willing to sell the set for $550 on ebay. Please contact me at timewarp01@gmail.com if you are interested in buying. I also have a limited collector's edition of Under the Dome (US), and a trade paperback of Cycle of the Werewolf.

Thanks,

-E

These Fantasy and Science Fiction magazines usually sell for around $100.

What are you hoping to get for your Under the Dome edition?

Cheers

Ditto on the F & SF set; I paid $110 total (from two different sellers) just about a year ago, and they're pretty much pristine copies. Can't see anybody going anywhere close to $550.

I paid $42 for my set (not pristine though). I bet that if one is patient and willing to look for each copy separately, one may even be able to beat that price. No offense but $550 is WAY too high.

I agree. $550 is much too high.

Wow, this came as something of a surprise! I saw a couple of identical sets going for $750 on ebay, and a few rare book collectors I talked to said the same thing! Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing that out to me. As for Under the Dome, I just found a buyer, so it's off the market, sorry!

My apologies,

-E

No apologies necessary. It's just that there are a lot of people out there thinking they have something REALLY special if they have the complete set of the five issues of F&SF and most are due for some major disappointment.

Also, I don't think these sets 'go' for $750. Sure, they get listed with asking prices in that order of magnitude but personally, I haven't seen any of these sets actually sell for that price.

I found two of the five F&SF Gunslinger issues at a used book sale in my town for 50 cents each.
