Went to Target, they had about 8 copies, all white lettering, bought one.
Went to K-Mart, saw exactly 2 copies, white lettering.
Went to Borders, saw about 15 copies, all grey lettering, bought one.
I'm happy now!
Has anyone found the grey lettering copies anywhere but Borders? I received two copies from amazon today and they were both the white lettering so I need to find a copy of the grey. I only saw the white and B&N. Any help would be appreciated, if not I guess I just start driving to all the stores and check.

Amazon delivered one in grey lettering to me. Slightly damaged during shipping but the price was right.

A number of the books on eBay that were signed at the New York signing had the dark lettering also.

There was a 3 volume bound manuscript issued before the blue proof.

I remember the SKMB Mod talking about reading her copies, and a reviewer wrote his review from these volumes. I cannot remember who it was, but it is on the SKMB.

Thanks, Mr.RT. I'd forgotten about that one. I wonder if any of those will ever make to market.

The BN in Atlanta had both DJ states, got a copy of both now, grey from Amazon, white signed (I am still so excited) from BN. This could just be because of how many they had to order for the signing.

It really suprised me how many of the copies I found there that were damaged in some way, bumped corners, scratched DJ, bent DJ. It seems alot of these books come straight from the publisher messed up, not suprising since they just stack them into boxes with no protection.

I took a few pictures of the two books together to see the differences in the DJ.

It seems to me the camera is picking up some real differences that I do not see when I look at them myself. Is there a SK book in this idea? :D

Thanks for those! To me the area just over the dome looks a lot darker with the Grey lettering. I'm also seeing more of the sun hit the dome in the grey..unless it's just folded a smidge different.

Welcome.

I compared the folds and the white one is folded just a smiged (about a 16th of an inch) more then the grey one.
