Sign limited editions, signed first editions, posters, screenplays, periodicals, etc., etc.

This collection was started over 30 years ago by my late father-in-law. This is a very extensive collection. I do have an excel file of the catalogue excluding many of the periodicals. I also have numerous pictures of most of the books. We are looking to sell the entire collection in one lot, at this time we are not interested in selling the pieces individually. We are accepting offers on the entire collection, prefer pick up in Northern Michigan, if you would like it delivered a delivery charge may apply depending on location. Much to large of a collection to ship. Private message me if you are interested in more information.

Here's what we have:
1) 200 books - Includes 47 signed copies, many of them first or limited editions. 33 are signed by King (I think one under the pseudo-name Bachman, he wrote under this fake name for a short while and it is established and known that Bachman = King). The rest of the signed books are varied authorship such as authors writing about King, etc. Of the 200 books, 27 are limited editions. 15 of the books are foreign and printed in Chinese or Japanese. Book publication dates range from 1974 through 2006, and the bulk of the collection is from publication dates in the 1980's and 1990's.

2) 16 Screenplay Drafts - These are fun to look at. A few we have first and second drafts of the same screenplay, "Children of the Corn" is one example.

3) Magazines & Booklets - 1 large storage tub of these. They are vintage publications that have a story or article by or about King. Some of them are from overseas and printed in foreign languages, and some are in plastic protective sleeves. These are not yet catalogued- without that, here's a starting list - not complete. Publications include Time, Seventeen, Cavalier, Yankee, Interview, Rolling Stone, New Yorker, TV Guide, Maine Review, Ubris from University of Maine, Weird Stories. 1986 Stephen King Year of Fear calendar in plastic sleeve. Also Fantasy & Science Fiction - including 2 special Stephen King Editions, one with a full page advertisement on back printed on magazine stock and another printed on better paper with a Stephen King signature on the back. We can't tell if that signature was printed with the book or if it was signed after the book was printed. There are also 3 comic books: 1) Clive Barker's The Harrowers Raiders of the Abyss - Ripped from the pages of Hellraisers with special glow in the dark cover. - Cover art by Gene Colan - Marvel Comics 2) Heroes for Hope X-Men - All proceeds from this comic book are being donated to famine relief and recovery in Africa - Cover art by Arthur Adams 5-85, and 3) Marvel Comics Batman - Anniversary Issue 400 with special introduction by Stephen King - Written by Doug Moench - October 1986

4) Miscellaneous
We have some miscellaneous items as well, three VHS recordings that appear to be from the 90's of King on TV. There are some loose articles in a folder. There are maybe 10 posters, some are rolled, some are on foamboard, from his movies. There is an interesting portrait of Stephen King - it is done using written words, I am assuming it is a lithograph. It is signed by Lance Brown, Tabitha (?) King AND Stephen King in pencil. It is numbered 38/100. It is sealed on cardboard and the print including the white border measures 59" wide X 80" long.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to sell these as one big lot. Best of luck, though.

Figured wouldn't hurt to put it out there. Not being a collector of King nor having a lot of time on my hands, thought this might be a great opportunity for a King collector to get some great pieces for their collection, take the time to sell the rest and make a profit in the end.

We will see if there is any interest. Otherwise it may end up being my kids problem when I pass. :)

I would be interested in knowing what kind of money you want for this collection.
Thanks.
