Picked up a few books including The Gunslinger Grant second printing, and in the same lot I also got an edition of The Shining that I can't identify for the life of me. Before anyone goes down that road, I do not believe it to be a first edition, but I can't figure out what it is.
Has dust jacket, Price in flap is T.S $15.95
Copyright page says Copyright (c) 1977 by Stephen King
All Rights Reserved
Printed in the United States of America
Dust jacket does NOT say Book Club Edition, and the book is tan board with black binding, not green/darkgreen.
In case it matters the book was purchased in Canada, on the off chance the dust jacket is a bizarre Canadian thing.
Has anyone seen an edition like this?

What is the code on the inner margin of page 447? It appears you have a later printing of the book. The code tells when the book was printed.

Hi John,
The code in the gutter was Z32. Can you identify the edition/print date with that?

Re: Help Identifying The Shining Edition.
The next question then becomes, does this edition hold any value? Or is it first edition or nothing?

Re: Help Identifying The Shining Edition.
It's not a first edition as we all define it. The first has special identifiers that this edition lacks. It's a good reading copy.
