Black House first edition question

I just got back from the book fair and I found a nice copy of Black House which I believed to be a first edition. As I examined the copyright page however, I noticed that me two letter code bellow "First Trade Edition" is different than any photos I have seen online. My two letter code is "DC" I have no clue what this code means. On every other picture it is "DH" Does this mean its a different edition? Much Thanks.

It means that it's a different printer. If I remember correctly, there were three different printers involved.

If your book has a number line that starts with a 2, it's a first edition, first printing.

Mine also states DH. What are the third initials?

I just checked my book, and noted that while the book has all the first edition criteria, there is no proce on the dust jacket.

Guess this means I have an international export copy?
Another 1st edition to add to the want list...

Anyone know what these abbreviations stand for? Like what does DC mean compared to DH.

Jimimck, if the lettering on the spine is gold, that means you have a book club edition. Strangely, the two are identical (except for the lack of the price on the dust jacket) except the true trade edition has silver lettering. I mean the spine of the book itself, not the dust jacket.

As far as I know, all they stand for is the different printers. No other meanings.
