Need help on Firestarter and The Shining early editions

Post by goodonleft »

I am the new kid on the block. I have been reading SK since the late 70's. I have pretty much all of his hardback books
and have questions on 2 of them. I would certainly appreciate any help you can offer.

1. The Shining - Two tone green by Doubleday. Just says Copyright 1977 by Stephen King. 447 pages with " W15"
at the bottom left of page 447. No dust cover.

2. Firestarter - Black and orange by Viking Press. No street address. Copyright 1980..371 pages with " W23"
at bottom left pf page 371. No dust cover.

I don't think these are 1st editions from the research I've done but just wondering about their value. Both books
are in excellent condition with no tears, rips, etc. The Shining shows slight fading while Firestarter still looks new.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you may offer and have a Blessed Day !

Neither is a first edition. The lack of dust jackets decrease the value drastically. I'd say between $5 and $10 each.
