Security Sticker question

Hello,

I have just recently purchased a 1st/1st of the Blaze for $6.00. Everything looks fine about it, pages look new, jacket has little ware to it and then I remove the dust jacket. There right on the middle of the back board is a huge sticky security sticker! I tried simply peeling it off slowely but it started peeling of the paper so I just stuck it back. Does this sticker decrease the value? Do you think should buy a different copy? Much thanks for your help,

Sincerely,

Jake E. Stief

Jake, I personally have no idea. I HATE IT that some of the stores do that.

You can buy this book on line 1st edition Fine for .99 & $3.99 shiping. The damage has been done & FACE IT this book is only worth .99. I recently bought CLIVE BARKER'S COLDHEART CANYON 1st FINE on line for .75. New books these days with LARGE print runs are just so much ink & paper unless signed.

Thanks I'll have to try that one website you posted. As for your reply needfulthings, I agree that the book is not worth more than maybe $5.00 (Wouldn't go as low as .99) but I don't think I want to spend that much money for another copy of this book. I'll just try my luck at the upcoming book fair for a 1.00 copy, no tax or shipping.

You know I agree about the sticker's prescense and degredation of value, however, because I know a 1st edition of blaze is not something of significant value, period, the prescense of a sticker really is not relevent. Don' t worry about it.
