As previously posted about Misery and Eyes of the Dragon, there seems to be two states of Rose Madder from two printers. One states at the botom of the copyrite page "Printed in the United States of America by Quebicor Printing Fairfield" and the other states "Printed in the United States of America by R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company". Also the cloth used for the spines is different the Quebicor printing has a soft black cloth like previous Viking books such as Misery and It. Where the R. R. Donnelley & Sons printing has a slick black cloth that is more like the cloth used for Viking trade editions of Desperation and The Regulators or the Grant trade editions of the Dark Tower II and DTIV.
