Hi there,
I have 2 copies of From a Buick 8 that have identical copyright pages indicating they are both first editions but one is bound in black and one is bound in blue. Does anyone know why? I only have 1 dust jacket which has the marks or a first edition.
From a Buick 8 - 2 different first editions?

That's interesting, so the lowest number on the number line of both copies is #1?
If so, my guess based on the huge print run of the book is that the printing was outsourced to multiple binderies and they used different color boards. It's not the first time work on a single edition has been sourced to multiple places for printing/binding.

Will one be more valuable?

Due to the low starting value of the 1st trade edition FAB8 (Prices starting at under $5 on ABE), I don't think there's going any real difference in price.
